General Conditions

1. Payments:
All payments must be received at least 2 weeks prior to arrival. Payment can be made by check or wire transfer. Notice: all costs of check or transfers have to be paid by the students. We need the invoice number and the student’s names on the transfer forms. Exceptions: Late bookings: students pay in the school secretary directly before the course starts (cash or check).

2. Course confirmation and documentation
when we receive your application, the following will be sent to you:

· confirmation mail
· invoice

when we receive the course-fee:
information about host family and other important data

3. Facilities and services included
included in your course price is:

· tuition depending on the course and hours booked
· if accommodation in a host family has been booked: single room from the Sunday immediately prior to your course start date until Saturday following the end of your course (if extra days have been booked they must be confirmed through the school ahead) and full board plus free airport pick-up at arrival laundry service
· work-book if the course last longer than 5 weeks
· free coffee in the cafeteria

4. Rebooking (changes) and cancellations
 · Enrollment and course changes are subject to a surcharge.
· If you cancel more than 14 days prior to arrival date, you will receive a full refund except 50 US$ to cover service and fees.
· If you cancel in less than 14 days, Estudio de Español Pichincha will retain one week of tuition, accommodation and full board plus 50 US$.

5. Late arrival, absences and attendance 
· If you arrive late to a course (group or one to one) or are absent during your course, no refund will be given. Free extensions will not be given for periods of absences.
· To obtain a course certificate, students must attend at least 90% of classes and complete homework assignments.
·  Classes are not held on Jan.1st and Dec.25th. No refund will be given.

6. Liability
Estudio de Español Pichincha, its personnel and representatives will not be responsible for loss, damage, illness or injury to persons or property, however caused, except where liability is expressly imposed by statute. Estudio de Español Pichincha will not be liable in the event that any service contracted to be supplied becomes impossible to supply by reason of any cause outside the control of the school.
